You begin in the middle of your plot, dig your first furrow, and then circle it clockwise until you reach the logical edge of that "land," at which point you move on, dig a new furrow, and carry on. Both as a tool and a tractor, it excels.

I have 40 years of experience driving Gravely model l tractors. New operators should be aware that the tractor will kick back in your direction if it hits a large rock or some clay while plowing uncultivated ground. Avoid touching those handlebars.
