The first is for show, as are any of the extremely expensive commercial devices. I admire the imaginative individuals. But I salute the gentleman who created and constructed the grey combo buzz saw firewood pump! His wifey in the background has a sensible man for a husband....KL

The Stihl 881 is a beast, in my opinion. It's too bad you didn't carefully outline your cookies before each cut. I believe they would have been more equitably distributed. Aside from that, you did a good job. You might even cut them up and precisely join them to make a long-lasting dining table. Use the smaller cookie to make a top for a kitchen island. Simply fodder for thinking.

I adore the vintage iron. As you well aware, I am a huge fan of moldboard plowing. Maybe you could make a film showing the evolution of it from the beginning to the present, from single bottom horse drawn plows to 10+ bottom on land and rollover versions. Plowing appears to be common in Europe. It's become a method of the past in this area, though I've seen it used more recently than in the previous 10-15 years. Keep up the good work, old carpet farmers like myself appreciate the time and effort you put into these videos for everyone to enjoy. I hope to catch up with you the next time you come home.

When I recruit really nice guys these days, they are young men and good guys and girls who have no idea what it's like to pull a twenty-hour day on an open air tractor with a dusty sandwich bag in the toolbox beside you. When I hire good people now, everything is autosteer, air conditioned, GPS mapping to my office, and so on, but I believe there has been a palpable aspect lost along the line between man and dirt, and I am betting many of your fellow subscribers feel the same way.

What a fascinating story. A friend of mine recently purchased a 4455 2wd Power Shift at an auction. It had somewhere between 800-900 hours on it. It was also from Ohio.....it was owned by a guy who owned a Deere dealer and play farmed about 300 acres. It had been stored inside its entire life and was breathtaking. No fading, perfect paint, excellent interior. I've always been a Deere tech and occasionally worked for him. So when he informed me he bought it and it was coming in for a winter inspection, I was expecting a lovely paint job but instead got a disaster. The inspection was more expensive than the minor repairs.
